This is a great coupon to help you get stocked up for OAM Cooking Day. Walmart has Campbell’s Creamed Soup for .58 this week…hurry and print this before it’s gone. You should be able to print 2 per computer.
This is another great coupon to help you with Cooking Day. It doesn’t expire until 11/21, so you have time to pair it with a great sale or store coupon. You could also pair it with a Manufacture coupon for an even better deal.
It has been a CRAZY couple of months for our family, but things have finally slowed down and I am able to devote time again to blogging! Instead of boring you all with the details…I’m just going to jump right back in
I’ll be starting with posting links and comments for a Once-a-Month cooking project I’ll be doing after Thanksgiving…then moving on to Christmas planning projects!
This year, I’m going to start the Christmas Cookie Countdown a little early. I’ll be putting up that page shortly and then adding a Master Plan for a Cookie Baking Day. Every year, my friend and I pick a day and bake piles and piles of cookies. This Master Plan will help us in the weeks before the big day…we’ll be able to shop more wisely in the next few weeks and hopefully pick up things when they are on sale.
So here we gooooooo…..

If you can find Carmex at your Wal-Mart or Target for $.97 you can use this coupon to get it free or better than free! Or~if your Kmart is doubling coupon this week you should be able to use the coupon to get it free.
Thanks Money Saving MomNo I have not abandoned you all! We’ve had many projects going on over the last few weeks and I haven’t had time to even think of a decent post! It’s suppose to be nice weather tomorrow, so I’ll be out taking pictures of what we’ve been working on to share.

Huge Neutrogena Moneymaker at CVS + My Trip Last Night
Now that the girls are back to school and we have some “down time” I better get caught up here! We had a wonderful Easter break and lots of fun on Easter day…which I’ll post about a little later when I have the pictues on the computer.
It has been a crazy couple of weeks. We’ve been practicing for our Easter Cantata, working outside to get things ready for Spring, cleaning out bedrooms to get ready for Garage Sale season…the list seems endless! I’ve gotten back into the habit of having a baking day once a week and that has truely helped with meals and snack time. I’ve also not gone major grocery shopping for 2 weeks. We’re running pretty thin, but I think we can make it another week with only a trip for milk and a trip to the farmers market for fruit and veggies tomorrow. Not shopping for 2 weeks has helped get caught up after purchasing some pork from some friends a few weeks ago.
We have finally made a final decision about schooling next year. We will be Cyber Schooling all 3 using the Lincoln Interactive through PA Cyber School. We spent weeks deciding what to do for Alex. We were torn … we had such good memories of the girls in kindergarten – what about him? But, then we realized that he has had 2 years of preschool and has learned as much if not more than what he’ll learn at the public school next year. He loves to learn and with what we do here and what he learns at preschool, he is ahead of most kids his age. Since it’s still only 1/2 a day at our local school, we decided it wasn’t worth splitting up our day for him to go (I would have to go pick him up before lunch everyday). I also got to thinking that if I wanted to take the girls somewhere for a field trip, we would either have to be back in time to get him or make arrangements for him to go home with someone. Either way, he would be missing out on the fun!
They are all excited about it … secretly I think because they’ll get to sleep in a little bit and they ALL get their own laptop! They’re also excited because some of their good friends are either homeschooled or Cyber schooled (Matthew, Meghan, Sarah & Michael
), and we’re planning on getting together with them a few times a month (or more!). We’ll also be able to take advantage of free swimming at the YMCA for homeschooler, spend more time at the library and have more hands-on learning activities. The girls are mostly happy about getting back to self-paced work. They’re struggling at school this year because they want to move ahead, but can’t until the other students are caught up. This has been a source of some major conflict afterschool in the last few weeks! We’re really starting to count down to the end of May now.
With that decision made, we can concentrate on other things and preparing for summer! Hopefully after this month, we’ll slow down a bit. Ben and I are going away again this weekend (separate directions thought) and Grandmal is taking care of the kids for us. Next weekend I’m attending a Ladies Retreat and am VERY excited about it! After that, I plan on spending the weekends at home…or doing something with the family.
I’ll be back in awhile with the Easter pictures!!
It’s been awhile…and things certainly are changing in our household. Here’s an update on everyone:
Ben and I have pretty much stayed the same. I guess when you’re grown-up there isn’t a whole to to report! Ben enjoyed a Men’s Retreat with my Dad’s church in January and I’ll be enjoying a Ladies Night Out in a few weeks with some ladies from church. I’m also looking forward to a Church Ministries Conference coming up in April. I’m also ramping up to begin VBS preparations at the end of this month. Ben is looking forward to attending a conference in a few weeks as well. We will be celebrating our 13th anniversary next month! It hardly seems possible.
Samantha is growing into a beautiful young lady. Our soon-to-be-teenager loves her new role as a Children’s Church Teacher’s Aide. She is certified by the American Red Cross to babysit and plans on getting some practice babysitting here with supervision until she is a little older. She is doing wonderful in school, enjoys reading and is looking forward to summer so she can spend more time with her best friend Meg.
Christine – Chrissy , Chrissy, Chrissy…what do I say about this very active girl? The biggest change for her is the decision to be finished with Gymnastics. I have to say that I’m a bit disappointed, but it was her decision and we wanted to honor it. For a few year we pushed her to stick with it and my thought is that she just got burnt out. Too many hours of practice, too much stress involved with competing and not enough time for other things. Now she spends her time playing outside with her brother, tumbling around the yard, reading longer books and generally just enjoying her free time. She is also doing wonderful in school and has responded very well to the change in school atmosphere. She also can’t wait for summer…mostly she can’t wait to swim all summer long. She and Alex are our little fish!
Alexander just turned 5 in December and I had a mini-breakdown. It’s hard to believe that he isn’t a baby anymore. He’s having fun in preschool and is doing very well with all of his pre-reading skills. My goal is to have him reading by the end of summer. He loves books as much as his sisters, so it should be pretty easy! Right now his favorite thing to do (besides play the Wii) is go visiting others. He loves to go to friend’s houses and grandparents houses. He’s even started asking when he can have a friend sleepover! I’m not sure if I’m up for that just yet
The biggest change for our family will come next school year. As of right now, we plan to go back to Cyber Schooling for at least one year. We’ve been praying about it, about our finances and praying for guidance in making the decision. Last year I had total peace about the decision to send them to private school even though I had no idea if we could afford it. I had peace that God would provide the tuition and He did! But when we did make that decision, we also knew that we would have to make the decision each year. While God did provide the tuition this year, we feel that this next year we need to use the money that God provides for us in a different way. Please pray for us as we continue to seek His guidance for this situation.
I’ll post some pictures soon! I have a new family picture to scan, and I plan on taking some of the kids this weekend.
Thank you all for your wonderful comment and for subscribing to this site! The giveaway is closed…I will be using a Random Number Generator to choose the winners later tonight. I will email the winners by tomorrow afternoon and post them here as well.
