Several notes of interest…
- The Book Discussion is postponed until further notice. I only had one person express interest in doing an online discussion and she would like to wait a while also. If you are interested in this discussion beginning soon, please leave me a comment and we’ll start next week.
- I’m looking for ideas of what you all would like to read about. Some topics of interest are Frugal Housekeeping, Shopping on a Shoestring Budget, Raising you children to be Biblically sound, Online Scrapbooking challenges, Serving God by Loving your Husband…or anything along these lines. I’m at a stand still for post ideas so your input is greatly appreciated.
- I would like to start having one guest post a month. If you are interested please leave a comment with your email and I will contact you. All comments are moderated, so I won’t be publishing your email address.
- Starting today, every Monday I will have a new post under My Peace. These will be biblical insights and encouragement, prayer and praise and other thoughts I have that give me Peace. If there is something you are interested in having more insight on, please let me know and I will do my best to post something for you. It may take a few weeks, depending on the topic and the amount of research that will go into it.
I think that’s it for now! As you can see…I’m stepping it up a notch and hope you will be along for the ride!
Have a Blessed Day!
I’ll be doing the post about the book discussion tonight…I had some “technical difficulties” last night with my computer and I need to get my apple pies made today. Check back tomorrow morning for my thoughts about chapter 1.
It’s not too late to join us in our journey into “Loving God with All Your Mind“. Pick up your copy of this incredible book and take a walk with me as I discover how to change my way of thinking to be more God-honoring. We will be talking two weeks for every chapter to give you time to really grasp it’s meaning and how you can apply the truths mentioned to your life.
We’ll have our first discussion on Wednesday, October 15th. You may leave a comment here or leave a link to your blog if you’d like to post it there. Have a Blessed Week!
Wow! I had an opportunity to attend a Women’s Conference last Saturday and did it ever give me something to think about! Elizabeth George was the speaker and I felt like she had read my life story and was telling me exactly what I needed to do to renew my walk with God.
One point that truely stuck with me was the fact that we cannot live in the past or worry about the future. We can only be thankful for this day, this hour, this minute, that God had given us. We really don’t know what will happen even in the next few seconds…but God does! I’ve come to realize that I need to ask for His help to have the grace to deal with what is going on right now and for His mercy when I fail to do the right thing. Granted, the process of “Living for the Moment” isn’t going to be easy, nor will it be something I can achieve quickly. I’m a worrier…I know…big sin, right? If I’m worrying, then I’m not trusting that God knows what is happeneing and will help me through it. Let’s just say, I’m working on it. When I start to worry I keep in mind what Elizabeth kept saying over and over…”What is real, what is true?” When I think about those two questions I can always come to a final answer of “God is real and true…He will take care of me”. If you haven’t read or meditated on Philippians 4:8 in awhile, I encourage you to do so. I’m working on memorizing it this week…it certainly helps to think on God’s word when things are turning upsided down!
If you haven’t read this book yet, why don’t you pick youself up a copy and join me as I learn what it takes to Love God with all my Mind. If you would like to join in a discussion on this book, please leave a comment and I’ll let you know when we’ll start.
Have a wondering, Blessed day!
~Cherity~
